This song is called GAMEPLAN!

A song I wrote with Misung aka Dave Stevenson.
I emailed him the instrumental rough heard below and he sang over it.

Then I re-recorded everything and sang it in a more exciting key.  Here is a rough mix by me:

Misung and I have been friends since I was about 14. The first time we sat down together and wrote something was a very strange experience to me at that age. He got out a tape recorder and a guitar and said, come on lets write a song. No paper, no pen, just make!

He is one of the most prolific people I know. Thanks Dave for writing this with me! More to come!

In the tradition of not getting what you want and being a brat after christmas, here is this lovely song “the ottomen” (Jim, DaveJustin and  walter ) did back in 2009 about christmas time. It’s called “Christmas time!”

THIS WEEK, I BROKE THE RULES WITH THE 80’S & 90’S THEME AND DID A ROCKIN’ COVER OF THIS WEIRD KATY PERRY SONG THAT SOUNDS LIKE A “DISNEY CHANNEL”ANTHEM EXCEPT ,IT SINGS ABOUT GETTING DRUNK AND HAVING MENAGE- A- TOIS.. (THREESOMES). I’M NOT , STILL, IT WAS SURE FUN TO SING! (ALTHOUGH, THE LYRICS REPEAT THEMSELVES QUITE A BIT).

ANYWAY, HERE IT IS.

Misung Monday Special! This Monday’s theme: Misung covers the classics.

This week’s classic song : Nothing Compares 2 U by Prince, (Sinead O’Connor version).

I heard this song recently and thought, “Hey, that would be a fun song to record.” So i spent a day learning it and recording it, and spent another few days mixing it, fixing it and adding on extra guitar parts. If you listen to the ending, i tried to change it up with a bit of  “Ok Computer era Radiohead” influenced style.
