November 3rd, 2014 by jim

Check it out: The original demo of “Potatoes and Molasses” the song  David V. Stevenson wrote for episode 3 of Over The Garden Wall, accompanied by my storyboards from that segment. It changed a little bit in the final, but I really like Dave’s version. It will stick in your head.

And of course check out the premier tonight on Cartoon Network! and it’s on iTunes NOW here

So much music!

February 3rd, 2014 by jim

You wouldn’t believe how many songs Dave (A.K.A. Misung) Stevenson  has written and in the past few years, and he has posted most of them on this site for free. But digging through the blog to find all the free tracks could take some time.  Although that’s really the only way to get the back story behind the tracks, you can also go straight to the source and download tracks from this site from this link:

http://ottomen.com/all-them-songs/

Which you can access at any time by clicking the link “All the songs from this Blog in one place” on the left of this web page.

Also, Check out this painting I found a photo of. It’s Dave, as depicted by Original Ottomen Drummer George Garcia

Comedians are NUTS

August 19th, 2012 by jim

Dave (Misung) Stevenson composed a theme song for Gary the Squirrel’s podcast “comedians are Nuts” on the Best Show on WFMU. Tom played the song on the August 14 episode. In case you don’t know, the beat show on WFMU is the best show period. Here’s a link to the Best Show archives:

MISUNG MONDAY BACK FROM VACATION!

June 25th, 2012 by misung

MISUNG MONDAY IS BACK!

I just got back from my vacation to sunny california, through the cold mountains of Yellowstone National Park. I haven’t had much time to get anything together, so here’s a demo of one of my new songs ( a very rough, loud demo) called “hydrocvampyr”.

I Was super dehydrated while i was sitting in the car all day long and on the plane so i wrote a song about a vampire that sucks water out of you instead of blood. Especially since the human body consists of 75 thousand percent of water, or something like that. I don’t know, i’m not a biologist.

So anyways, here’s the song.
