HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! HOPE IT WAS A GOOD ONE!!!!

This week, Another monkey song! This one is called “Project X2” . Like that movie from the 80’s with matthew broderick (the star of such movies as “Godzilla 2000, War Games and LadyHawk” It’s about monkeys being used in Air Force Experiments. You may recall another Misung Monday installment called “Monkeys and Electricity”. Well, my friends, this is the more completed version of that song with some additions.

Sad MIsung Monday.

May 7th, 2012 by misung

“People How ya doin, there’s a new day dawning, from the earth mother it’s a brand new morning…”

-Beastie Boys

yet, this is a sad Misung Monday morning folks. One of the great artists who inspired me  has passed away late last week . So in honor of him and his memory, I’m making this Misung Monday a hip-hop themed Misung Monday.

We’ll miss ya, Adam Yauch.

I dug way back in the archives to pull this out.  It’s a very budget rap song called “Budget Rap”.  (Yes, back in the day i used to make rap songs and i still do ocassionally.)  This remix, however, was done by my good friend from NYC James D Campbell, and includes actual Beastie Boy beats that he legally downloaded from the official Beastie Boys website (www.beastieboys.com).   Me and “The Ottomen” recorded this back in 1998 in Kansas City MO and it appears on the album “Adventures at the Shore”. Hope you like it, and remember it’s from 14 years ago.

Here it is..Enjoy!!  Budget Rap (beastie Remix) unreleased remix track

BONUS TRACKS!: Here’s the Original>  BUDGET RAP (“Rapmankeyboard beats original version from “The Ottomen: Adventures at the Shore”.)

here’s a misung track called “Tough Cookie” another BEASTIE imspired hip hop song”> Tough Cookie.
