cover my face - written in september 04 after listening to a bunch of 80s bowie and Ima Robot. The cover my face came from being bored out of my mind and feeling like if maybe nobody knew i was a foreigner then i wouldn't have so much trouble making friends at school. 2 electric basses, drums and synths done in reason, and the last bit with me on trombone is from a session with shed shot.

aliD2yo -song about a girl who musically is on the same page as me written half in the US half in japan. I played the drums by hitting my bamboo floors and a box. bass, piano and synths all done live. (no reason here)

august needs - all done in reason, except for electric bass. about me being bored in august and this really pretty girl sayaka who i took to an opera and she never said thanks. booo sucks.

jihyun -about a korean girl at my school who's just super pure and pretty and makes me feel like a dirty old man. haha. started with a chord sequence, bass line then drums and vocals...i actually wrote the words down for this one! the begining sample is of a hato bus tour of tokyo. the guide sang us a song and the audio is of her introducing the song.

night time - written with one drum loop and like 5 electric basses piled on top of each other...in the night time. duh.

the Juice (justind theme) i wrote this song back in 2002 after my first tour with SHed SHot. They dubbed me juice. Jus. my first nickname ever. I played, casio keyboard, pianika, trombone, sang and had my friend Ami Hirano play flute on it.

congested -seriously, this song is nothing but some silly fun. haha. bass and a bunch of reason synths and drums. I was listening to a lot of old R and B at the time...the chords are move a bunch in the bridge. i was congested. didn't write any words down. just sang what the song made me feel

Tako/kite - a song about a kite. i wrote actually on piano sitting in a practice room at Osaka university of arts. ALL REASON and lots of justin voice

May showers/ 5gatsu no ame -wrote this on piano and played it on piano as well. Probably the only song written on musical staff. It was non-stop rain during may last year, i had yet to make any friends at school and some guy gave me shit for being a foreigner. SO instead of going and hurting him after i swore at him in japanese, I went to the practice room and wrote this.

aYan - wrote this song while thinking about someone with a similair name who happens to recognize and appreciate all the little things in life. The things that count. The things that hardly anybody stops to think about...all the things we take for granted. I've only met this person in cyberspace, but each encounter seems to last longer than usual and is ever so inspiring. This song has NO synthesizers...just drum loops, guitar, bass, voice, koto and more voices.
